In 1992 we began offering fun equipment by founding Speed Pitch Amusement co. Utilizing baseball radar equipment, partners, Tim Stevenson and Ken Orwick offered Speed Pitch for entertainment at local festivals. It was an immediate success and huge crowd pleaser attracting both Coca Cola and Pepsi Cola as sponsors offering funds and their new sports drinks (All Sport & Power-ade) as prizes for participants.
In 1995 responding to a greater demand for fun equipment, Tim & Kim Stevenson founded Challenge Sports & Party games offering a full line of interactive sports games to school carnivals, church events and company/corporate events. In 1998, Kim introduced inflatable fun to our fun equipment inventory and we became one of the first companies in the area offering a full line of fun equipment.
In 2000 we changed our name to Fun Masters Inc. and we established a winning strategy by offering the safest and newest fun equipment in the industry. Unlike our local competition who rely on equipment lease agreements with other inflatable providers, we re-invest 30% of all net income by purchasing the latest fun equipment in the industry and have become the leader in the local market.
We attend the annual fun equipment convention (IAAPA) and employ the help of our research team (Kenny, Sophie and Sam) to make most of our fun equipment purchasing decisions.
Last year we delivered fun to over 600 events in just 70 operating days. Our operating season begins in April and runs through October and is primarily a weekend operation. The climatology of the Ohio valley provides a five month operating season.
We have enjoyed double digit growth over the past three years and have positioned ourselves as a leader in the fun equipment marketplace. Our planning has enabled us to be in position for a grand opportunity by offering a year round family entertainment center, open rain or shine, the “Fun Dome.”
